DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation Unveils New Name and Logo

[DeWitt, IOWA, Sept. 17, 2024] –The DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation is proud to announce its new name, Crossroads Health Foundation. This rebranding marks an exciting evolution for the foundation as it expands its mission beyond DeWitt to serve all of rural Clinton County, IA. The name change was officially unveiled at this week’s legacy event, highlighting the foundation's ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellness throughout the region.

Since its establishment in 1997, the foundation has played a critical role in supporting local healthcare initiatives, including the successful expansion of the DeWitt Community Hospital. The new name reflects the foundation's growth and broader focus, ensuring that all residents of Clinton County benefit from its efforts. Despite the change, the foundation’s mission remains the same: to ensure the future health and wellness of the region.

Mark Witte, President, commented on the significance of the change: "Our new name, Crossroads Health Foundation, represents a convergence of our community’s health needs and our expanded ability to meet them. We remain deeply committed to the DeWitt community, while also embracing the broader Clinton County region. This evolution allows us to serve more residents, ensuring that every dollar donated stays local and benefits the entire area."

In addition to the name change, the foundation is also unveiling a new logo that retains elements of its past, such as the familiar tree symbolizing growth and stability. The updated design incorporates a rural crossroads, reflecting the foundation’s expanded reach and its central role in uniting the community’s health resources.

Robin Krogman, Director of Crossroads Health Foundation, added, "We are excited to continue our partnership with the community, now under a name that better represents our inclusive mission. While the hospital is also undergoing its own rebranding, our foundation’s change is a separate, yet complementary, effort. Together, we look forward to a future where we can continue to support the hospital’s needs while also expanding our initiatives across rural Clinton County."

The foundation’s impact is already evident, with recent achievements such as raising $5 million for the new Fieldstone of DeWitt senior living complex, a testament to its commitment to local healthcare. The new name not only honors this legacy but also positions the foundation for future success in promoting health and wellness across the entire region.
