Devin Luskey
10th Grader at Central DeWitt High School
Age: 15
Parent/Guardian: Fallon Collins

Devin was nominated as Student of the Month by Amy Grantz, Agricultural Science Teacher and FFA Advisor at Central DeWitt High School. Ms. Grantz shares that Devin's positive attitude, bright outlook on life and willingness to help others are three qualities that make him stand out in the classroom and in FFA.

As a shy freshman to an outgoing sophomore, Devin has stepped out of his comfort zone and really excelled in FFA. He has encouraged and motivated students to get involved, try their best and always do what's right. This year, Devin attended National FFA Convention for the first time and was "inspired by hearing motivational speakers and retiring officer addresses".

In return, he came home to share his excitement with other members to get them involved. His enthusiasm and dedication inspires other classmates and FFA members to always do their best. Devin says that he is thankful Ms. Grantz encouraged him to get involved in FFA and that it's a place where he really feels comfortable. "I really like being part of a team, taking care of animals and plants, and competing at the fair," Devin shares.

Devin says he also enjoys being a part of the wrestling team noting that he has been inspired by several role models through that program as well including Mr. Ohnemus, Mr. Kruse, and Mr. Grell.
