RAGBRAI is coming to DeWitt! On July 30th, 2021 DeWitt will be the final overnight stop in the week-long ride known as RAGBRAI! As exciting as it sounds, DeWitt will need "all hands on deck" to ensure RAGBRAI riders a true experience while in DeWitt, encouraging them to return again! To ensure we host the riders in a fun and SAFE manner, committees need to be formed, tasks need to be completed and volunteers are needed to make it happen! A small group of people have gotten the ball rolling but more ideas, thoughts and volunteers are needed! Committee and roles that have been formed but need more volunteers include: -the Advisory Board Committee -the Executive Board Committee -Recording Secretary -Treasurer/Budget Chair -Sponsorship/Fundraising Chair -Beverage Garden Committee -Budget Committee -Campground Committee -Communications Committee -Electrical Committee -Entertainment & Special Events Committee -Food & Vendor Committee -Hospitality Committee -Housing Committee -Information Center Committee -Law Enforcement Committee -Medical Committee -Publicity Committee -Public Safety Committee -RIDE RIGHT Committee -Showers, Sanitation & Recycling Committee -Sponsorship & Fundraising Committee -Transportation Committee -Volunteer Committee -Web & Social Media Committee Each committee and committee member will bring unique ideas, thoughts and contributions to ensure RAGBRAI riders enjoy their stay in DeWitt! We have a lot to do in a short amount of time, so don't wait, get involved NOW! You can contact Angela Rheingans at the DCDC office or Steve Lindner at City Hall to learn how to get involved and which committee you would be best suited for!
