Enjoy Brian Kelly, President of Clinton Community College in Clinton, Iowa where he will give us details and a high level overview of what's to come with the CTE Academy in DeWitt's Industrial Park! While listening to Brian, enjoy lunch catered by Hall of Fame here in DeWitt!
With this presentation, you can look forward to Regional Planning Partnerships for High School CTE Career Academies and construction and enhancements of CTE facilities
The presentation will emphasize the need for investment in career technical education in our region.
•Career and Technical Education (CTE)is an urgent and compelling need.
•65% of jobs in our economy require education and training beyond high school
•Between 20-40% of recent high school graduates do not pursue any education or training beyond high school
•The economic development of our region requires a skilled workforce.
•Our rural towns and counties, especially, are underserved by the career and technical education opportunities provided.
•Expanded CTE programming will ensure that members of our communities have equitable access to the educational opportunities
