Each year, the Clinton County 4-H Foundation hosts a 4-H basketball tournament to support the 400 4-H and Clover Kids members from 11 4-H Clubs and 5 Clover Kids Clubs. We typically have about 16-18 teams between three different age divisions. The money raised by the Foundation at this event goes towards academic scholarships for members pursuing higher education, financial scholarships for members to attend trips, camps and conferences from here in Clinton County to Washington D.C., livestock judging teams, and many more Clinton County youth development activities.
This year the tournament will be held on March 20th at the Calamus-Wheatland High School. We will be having a cake auction at approximately 11:00 am (in between games) to help raise money for the Foundation. We invite you and your business to participate by bidding on a cake to help support the Foundation. If you are unable to attend but would still like to make a donation, please make a check payable to Clinton County Extension with 4-H Foundation in the memo. You drop it off or mail it to the Clinton County Extension and Outreach Office at 400 E. 11th St. DeWitt, IA. Thank you for your consideration with helping the Clinton County 4-H Foundation! Donations will follow the sponsorship brochure levels.
The Clinton County 4-H Foundation works in partnership with the Iowa 4-H Foundation and the Clinton County Extension Council to provide financial resources for youth development through 4-H. The Iowa 4-H Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We represent an educational program serving young people in grades K-12. If your company only matches to higher educational institutions, you can make your check payable to the Iowa State University Foundation and designate your gift to Iowa 4-H Foundation.
